Run With A Purpose.

Lessons from Appalachia

10 years ago I completed my 2nd “real” (100 miles or longer) ultramarathon; 120.5 miles from Alabama to Kentucky through the great state of Tennessee. This solo effort was the beginning of our nonprofit Run4Water.

Run4Water’s focus is providing solutions to the global water crisis, and as our team soon learned, we found we have friends that need clean water in our own state. Through working with friends in Hancock County, I’ve learned much about the beauty, history, and resources in the region and want to share some of their stories with you on the blog.
